Height: 5'10" Weight: 205 lb DOB: February 4th Hometown: Detroit, Michigan Mini Bio: Best known for his quick and innovative in ring move set, Chris Sabin is currently wrestling for TNA Wrestling as well as several independent promotions. Lately, Sabin has aligned himself with fellow TNA wrestler and friend Alex Shelley to form the tag team, The Motor City Machine Guns.
Desmond Wolfe and Magnus, otherwise known as London Brawling, are in the ring with Chelsea saying that they’re going to beat the Motor City Machine Guns at No Surrender. Magnus says the fans are obviously embarrassed to have the MCMGs as their champions, but fear not, because they’re here to save the day. Those belts are coming off the boys and coming to the real men. So says the guy with the tight shirt and beret. The MCMG come out and go face to face with London Brawling as the fans start a USA chant. Shelley says if they think the MCMG killed themselves in five matches with Beer Money just to lose the belts to them at No Surrender, they’re not thinking hard enough because they’re the best tag team in the world and if they don’t believe that, they can just ask the fans. Crowd pops for that one. Sabin says they may be the #1 contenders, but the MCMG haven’t seen them beat anybody, and from the look of things, the only tag teaming they’ve been doing lately is with each other. Desmond asks the MCMG if they think they’re a couple of poofs, and then says he hates to break up their comedy routine, but London Brawling are the only ones in the ring with a bird, then Magnus says instead of making jokes, they ought to grow some more hair on their nuts. Shelley responds by saying that if they’re such men, why does Chelsea always have such a lousy look on her face? Shelley then offers her $10 for a go round, and then Sabin says to stop torturing Chelsea because she needs to make a living just like any call girl. Desmond then tells Chelsea to tell them how he’s the biggest guy on this side of the pond, and Chelsea says that if this were a sword fight, his weapon would fall just a little bit short. London Brawling all start arguing with each other, then turn around and start laying out the MCMG. They toss Sabin to the outside and then double team Shelley, just not in the way the MCMG suggest they double team people.
Backstage, the Motor City Machine Guns show off the copy of Rock Band that they got for free, then talk about their match tonight with Generation Me and other teams breathing down their necks and trying to follow in their footsteps. They’re going to relax a bit, and then go out for their match…next!
TNA World Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns vs Generation Me
This ought to be good. Jeremy and Sabin start and Jeremy gets a quick rollup right off the bat but only gets 1. Sabin fires Jeremy into the ropes and takes him down with a shoulderblock. Jeremy responds with a drop toehold and la magistral cradle for 2. Sabin sends Jeremy into the ropes but Jeremy made a blind tag and Gen Me with a double hiptoss and double dropkick for 2. Sabin and Max reverse waistlocks and Sabin gets a blind tag and the MCMG hit a series of double team moves on Max. Shelley with a kick to the ribs of Max and a big slam, then gets a half crab while stepping on Max’s face. The ref counts even though that isn’t technically illegal, so the MCMG with another double team and Sabin covers for 2. Sabin rams Max into Shelley’s boot, then tags Shelley in, and Shelley with a snapmare and kneedrop for 2, then keep going for the cover a couple more times but can’t get the fall, so instead he gets a three quarter nelson. Sabin tags in, but Max is able to fight his wa y clear and roll into his corner to make the hot tag to Jeremy, who comes in and cleans house on Sabin with dropkicks. Shelley kicks Jeremy from the outside, but Jeremy nails him and Jeremy with a springboard X-Factor for 2. Gen Me with an amazing assisted springboard moonsault onto the MCMG on the floor, and Max hits Sabin with a spear as he gets back in the ring and then Gen Me with a moonsault/splash combo on Sabin and they go for More Bang For Your Buck, but Sabin holds onto Jeremy and Max moonsaults onto him. Shelley with a double stomp on Jeremy, a lungblower on Max, and the Skull and Crossbones for the win.
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns
The two teams shake after the match and they all raise their hands in a nice show of sportsmanship.
Best Of Five Series Match Five – 2 Out Of 3 Falls: Motor City Machine Guns vs Beer Money
Storm and Sabin start and Storm goes right to the eyes and gets a wristlock, Sabin tries to escape but Roode turns it into a headlock, then they do a fast paced sequence off the ropes and then a series of pinfall attempts and then each go for a kick at the same time and catch each other’s boot…and slowly put them down and back off. The fans pop huge as Shelley and Roode tag in and the crowd starts chanting for Shelley. Roode takes Shelley to the corner and takes a cheapshot, but Shelley fires back and gets thumbed in the eyes. Shelley off the ropes and Roode tries a drop down, but Shelley elbowdrops him and then hits a flying headscissors, then unloads with a chop. Shelley comes off the ropes and Roode gets a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for 2, then goes for an O’Connor Roll, but Shelley tags as he hits the ropes and Sabin comes in and kicks him in the face, Storm tries to come in but the MCMGs hit a fast series of double team moves that sends Storm to the floor and puts Roode down for 2. Roode recovers and tags out to Storm, who doesn’t have much luck either until Roode grabs Sabin’s ankle from the floor and allows Storm to hit a running boot to the head. Roode comes in without making a legal tag, and the ref calls him on it, but then Roode tags out to Storm. Whatever. Storm fires away on Sabin in the corner and tags back out to Roode and they hit a slam/elbowdrop/kneedrop combo for 2. Sabin starts to fight back and leapfrogs a whip into the corner then tries to make the tag, Roode grabs his ankle and tries to pull him back, but Sabin hits an enziguiri and makes the hot tag. Shelley gives Roode a Flatliner into the second turnbuckle and then bulldogs Roode as he clotheslines Storm and covers Roode for 2. Shelley with a Flatliner/DDT combo on Beer Money and covers Roode for 2. MCMGs fire Storm to the apron and Shelley comes over the top with a double stomp, then hits a springboard dropkick to send Roode to the floor and they hit stereo dives onto Beer Money. This is way more difficult to recap than you have any idea. Storm recovers and DDTs Sabin on the apron as Shelley goes up top, Roode tries to stop him but gets knocked off into the middle of the ring. Roode dodgs the double stomp and Beer Money hits a gutbuster/lungblower/DWI combo and Beer Money takes the first fall. Continue reading »

Best Of Five Series Match Four – Ultimate X: TNA World Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns vs Beer Money
Roode takes a mic before the match and says that they don’t like each other, but the fact is that they have redefined tag team wrestling over the last few weeks. Roode says they’re a great team, but from day one, Beer Money’s goal has been to be not only the best in TNA, but the world, and the only way to be the best is to have the TNA World Tag Team Title, so tonight, in the MCMGs match, they’re going to defeat them at their own game and become four time TNA World Tag Team Champions. Sabin, who already had a mic in his hand, says that the belts around their waists mean they are the TNA World Tag Team Champions and the best in the world, and these belts prove it. Sabin says they chose this match for a reason: it’s their world and what they do, and the only way Beer Money’s going to get the belts are to pry them from their cold dead fingers. Roode says let’s stop talking and just do it. Argh, we’re at commercial!
Okay, we’re back: the bell rings and we’re off. MCMG harass Beer Money with rapid fire moves in the ring, then toss Beer Money to the floor and hit stereo dives. They head back in the ring and Sabin goes for the X, but Beer Money makes it back in the ring and pull him down. Springboard dropkick sends Roode to the floor and a drop toehold/bulldog combo drops Storm, and Shelley gets a double submission on both of Beer Money while Sabin climbs again, but they escape. Now Shelley goes for the X but Roode pulls him down into an inverted atomic drop (ouch!) and then they catapult Shelley into a DDT. Storm says he’s been drinking and sends Roode up to go after the X, but the delay was enough for the MCMGs to come back with another fast paced series of moves that ends with Sabin hitting a delayed dropkick in the corner on both of Beer Money. Beer Money shifts the momentum when Roode suplexes Sabin and then pull Shelley down from the cables and kill him with a lungblower and double snap suplex. Beer Money with stereo clotheslines on Shelley in the corner and Storm puts him on top, but now Shelley gets an inverted atomic drop off the top and pulls Roode off the cables, then counters a throw attempt into a nasty spike piledriver that appears to have busted Roode open hardway. Shelley leaps over Storm into a double stomp on Roode, then goes back up to the cables. Storm yanks him down and hits the Air Raid Cutter just as Sabin gets back in the ring. Sabin climbs over Storm, but Storm climbs up after him so Sabin kicks at him and hits a top rope Frankensteiner off the cables, but then turns around right into a spinebuster from Roode. Roode’s the only man on his feet, so he pulls Storm up and has Storm come over so he can stand on his shoulders as he climbs out to the X, but the MCMGs recover, take Storm down, then yank Roode off the cables right onto Storm. Shelley takes Storm out to the apron and hits Sliced Bread #2 on the ring frame, and now it’s Roode and Sabin. Roode climbs above the cabe onto the scaffolding and tries to climb out that way with Sabin climbing underneath and Roode walking on the ropes, but Sabin kicks Roode off and he crotches himself on the ropes and falls into the ring, allowing Sabin to get the X for the win. Yeow, what a match!
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns
At the end of this week’s Impact, they ran through the card for the August 12 Impact and they announced that the fifth and final match in the Beer Money versus Motor City Machine Guns series will be a Best Two out of Three Falls Match.
Akira Tozawa d. Chris Sabin
Pretty fun match. Tozawa stole the match with his facial expressions and screaming. Sabin hit his signature moves, the second rope spring splash to the outside. Sabin had Tozawa in a tree of woe and delivered a baseball slide drop kick. Then went for hesitation drop kick only for Tozawa to pull himself up. Sabin stopped himself and kicked Tozawa in the gut and then went back and nailed Hesitation dropkick. Finish happened after a German suplex, which Tozawa screwed up the bridge, only to lift Sabin back up on his shoulders and deliver another brutal looking German for the pin. Wasn’t crisp but got the job done.

Best Of Five Series Match Three: TNA World Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns vs Beer Money
Damn, they got that cage up quick! The Guns dive off the cage onto Beer Money to start, then ram both members of Beer Money into the cage. Series of fast double team moves on Storm, and then a springboard dropkick on Roode sends him crashing into the cage and he’s busted open already. Shelley goes for Sliced Bread #2, but Storm escapes and gets a hanging neckbreaker off the second rope for 2. Storm rams Shelley into the turnbuckle and pounds him in the face as we see Roode bleeding, then tags in Roode, who comes in with a stiff kick to the guy of Shelley. Beer Money with a slam/elbowdrop/kneedrop combo for 2. Storm comes in and pops Shelley in the mouth then tags Roode back in and we HIT THE CHINLOCK! Shelley fights his way free, but Roode nails him and puts him up top and goes for a superplex, but Shelley rams Roode into the cage several times and hits a top rope Frankensteiner. Shelley makes the hot tag and Sabin comes in and cleans house, h itting a top rope dropkick on both men. Sabin puts Roode in the corner, hangs Storm upside down in front of him, hits a Yakuza Kick to Roode, a delayed baseball slide to Storm, and then Shelley tries Sliced Bread #2 on Roode but Roode escapes and kills Sabin with a lariat. Roode and Shelley go up top but Shelley rams Roode facefirst into the cage and hits a double stomp off the top onto Roode. MCMG with more double team moves on Beer Money but Sabin misses one and then Storm hits a Spinning slam on Shelley and powerbombs Sabin into the cage, and then Storm follows that with a lungblower for a very close 2. Beer Money tries to escape but Shelley goes up and tosses Roode off, then gives Storm a jawbreaker off the top. Sabin climbs to the top of the cage and hits a crossbody off the top on both men and all four are down. That should have been the finish. Storm goes for a shot with the beer bottle, but Sabin moves and Storm nails Roode, and the MCMG hit the doubler stomp/neckbre aker to pick up the win.
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns
What a match! That was absolutely awesome, and now the MCMG have their choice of the type of match next week.

Best Of 5 Series Match Two – Anything Goes Streetfight: TNA World Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns vs Beer Money
The MCMGs dive over the ropes onto Beer Money to start the match, and the fight spilles right out to the floor. Storm sends Sabin into the guardrail and then the ramp as Roode beats up Shelley on the ramp. They try to double suplex Shelley to the floor but Sabin makes the save and then hit a series of double team moves on the rampway. Shelley gets Roode in a rear chinlock and Sabin goes all the way to the top of the ramp, gets a running start, and gets a leaping dropkick to the face of Roode, followed by Shelley hitting a leaping double stomp off the rampway onto Roode for 2. Roode swings a chair at Shelley but misses and hits the ringpost and Shelley follows with a running knee off the apron. Sabin tries a dive through the ropes onto Roode but Roode cracks him in the face with a chair coming through and then takes out Shelley’s knees with a chair as well. Roode tosses Shelley back in the ring where Storm hits a lungblower for 2. Shelley recovers and tosses a chair to Roode and Sabin hits a springboard dropkick to the chair into Roode’s face for 2. Storm drags Shelley to the floor then jumps in and spits beer in the face of Sabin, allowing Roode to hit a spinebuster for 2. Shelley comes in with a kendo stick which he nails both Roode and Storm with, and Roode tries a lariat but nails the ref. Sabin tosses a trash can at Roode’s head to send him to the floor and tries a baseball slide, but Roode moves and Sabin hits the other ref. Storm tosses Shelley in the ring and Beer Money put him on top and try a double superplex but Sabin makes the save and they hit a Sliced Bread #2/powerbomb combo, but no ref, and Storm slips in and hits Shelley with the beer bottle and superkicks Sabin, then drags the ref over to make the three count.

Best Of Five Series, Match One – Ladder Match: World Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns vs Beer Money
Beer Money jump the Guns before the bell, and incidentally the object at the top of the ladder is a contract to determine the stipulation in match #2. Beer Money go for a double suplex on Shelley, but Sabin catches him coming down and they hit a double dropkick to send Beer Money to the floor, then follow them out with a double dive. Sabin grabs a ladder from ringside as Shelley blocks Beer Money from getting the ring and he starts to climb, but Storm yanks him off the ladder. Storm sets the ladder up in the corner, but gets nailed and the MCMG get a double wishbone and double dropkick on Roode, then whip him into the ladder and follow in with a running forearm/leaping elbow combo, but on the third try Roode moves and Shelley hits the ladder, and Beer Money double team Sabin, picking him up and ramming him spread eagle into the ladder, and that looked REALLY nasty. Storm climbs the ladder but Shelley catches him and pulls him off, but then Roode dropkicks the ladder into Shelley’s face. Now Roode climbs the ladder, but Shelley pulls him off, then takes a ladder in the ribs from Storm. Roode puts the ladder on top of Shelley, then Storm brings in a second ladder and Beer Money uses it to repeatedly hammer the first ladder into Shelley. Ye gads. Beer Money go for a double team move but Sabin dropkicks the ladder into both members of Beer Money and then Shelley with a double stomp. Sabin sets up the ladder as a ramp and runs up it, loses his footing, regains it, and gives Storm a really stiff kick to the face that appeared to really rattle Storm. Sabin then turns around and gets killed with a clothesline from Roode, but Shelley nails him from behind and they do anoter double team move I don’t have time to try and describe. Shelley goes to climb the ladder but Storm pushes him off onto the top rope, then hits a lungblower that sends Shelley to the floor. Hey, it’s after 10. Storm puts Sabin up top and goes for a superplex, but Sabin nails him and hangs in in the Tree of Woe, then Shelley puts a ladder in from of Storm’s face and Sabin baseball slides the ladder into Storm’s face. Roode nails Sabin from behind, but Shelley (who had just set of a ladder as a platform between the apron and the guardrail) comes in and backdrops Roode onto the ladder, and the MCMG both hit dives onto Roode on the ladder, but then Storm comes running up and rams the ladder into Shelley’s face. Sabin and Storm wind up back in the ring and on top of the ladder, but Shelley and Storm bump referee Brian Hebner to the floor. Roode goes off the ladder and over the top rope and Sabin grabs the contract, but the ref is out, so Storm nails Sabin with the beer bottle and grabs the contract just as Earl Hebner comes out and, seeing Storm with the contract, calls for the bell and awards the win to Beer Money.
Tournament Final: Beer Money Inc. vs. The Motor City Machineguns for TNA Tag Team championship
Shelley and Roode started. The Guns controlled early but Roode caught Sabin with a punch. The Guns came back with some double team moves, taking James down from the apron with a dropkick and knocking Roode out of the ring with a flurry of offense. Roode nailed Sabin with a hard shot but Shelley caught him with a bulldog. Shelley worked over Roode’s arm. The Guns tagged in and out to keep Roode off balance and wear him down. Continue reading »

Matt Morgan & Beer Money vs Hernandez & Motor City Machine Guns
Roode & Sabin start out with a fast paced chain wrestling segment, Roode tries charging Sabin in the corner but Sabin gets the boot up and hits a Frankensteiner and a forearm for 1, then tags out to Shelley, and they hit a series of fast paced double team moves. This is a very fast paced match, as you can see. Storm tags in, but Shelley outmaneuvers them and tags in Sabin, who hits a leaping elbow in the corner on Storm. Sabin tries a flying headscissors, Storm sends Sabin to the apron and Morgan comes running in with a big boot to the face. Now Morgan tags in and hits a short clothesline on Sabin, then casually steps on him. Morgan stretches Sabin on the ropes and tags in Storm, who nails Sabin with a series of rights in the corner. Sabin comes firing back but Storm with a boot to the guy and a slam for 2. Roode comes in and chokes Sabin, then whips him hard into the corner for 2. Sabin and Roode trade blows but Sabin with a back spinkick and makes the hot tag to Hernandez, who comes in and starts rolling over both members of Beer Money. Hernandez goes after Morgan, but Morgan leaps off the apron, so Hernandez instead bowls over Roode with a shoulderblock and tags Shelley back in. Shelley whips Herhandez into the corner into Roode, then Hernandez slingshots Roode into a Shelley flatliner in the corner. Beer Money try to double team Shelley, but Hernandez with a double shoulderblock over the top rope lays both of Beer Money out. Hernandez chases Morgan to the back as the MCMG hit a double enziguiri to Roode. Storm tries to spit beer at Sabin but Sabin ducks and dropkicks Storm to the floor, then follows him out with a dive. Shelley with a springboard crossbody out of the corner, but Roode rolls through and hooks the tights for 3.

Ink Inc vs Motor City Machine Guns
Moore and Shelley start us off and do a wristlock reversal sequence, Shelley escapes and sweeps Moore’s legs for 1, but Moore goes back to the arm, tags in Neal, and they hit a double hiptoss and then Moore hiptosses Neal onto Shelley for 2. Tag back out to Moore, who comes over the ropes with a sunset flip for 2, then a springboard armdrag sends Shelley to the floor and, one flying headscissors later, Sabin follows him out. Moore dives over the top onto the MCMG, then tosses Shelley back in the ring as Brother Devon joins Mike and Taz on commentary, saying he’s just out here to make sure Brother Ray doesn’t get involved in this match. MCMG hit a springboard dropkick to send Neal to the floor as they continue to double team Moore. MCMG with a leapfrog splash onto Moore for 2, but Moore gets an elbow to Sabin’s jaw and hits a Lionsault and both men are down. Moore makes the hot tag and Neal comes in and cleans house on the MCMG. He hits a springboard crossbody on Sabin, then spears Shelley but Sabin breaks up the fall. All four men are in the ring, but Sabin tosses Moore to the floor, then turns around into a Boss Man Slam from Neal. Neal puts Shelley up top as Brother Ray comes out from the back, but Brother Devon cuts him off. However, the distraction is enough for the MCMG to hit the double team Sliced Bread #2 for the win.
