View Screencaptures
As stated in my last iMPACT results post, Chris Sabin, in his semi-final tournament match would face Kiyoshi. The newcomer who looked most impressive in his pervious matches. Kiyoshi would be a mountain for Sabin to climb in his race to capture the X title for the fifth time. Again, Alex Shelley played cheerleader and stayed at ringside during the match. Sheik came down to the ring to scout out the match. Kiyoshi took charge in most of the first few minutes. Sabin then connected with a very high kick across the jaw of his oppoent. Tried for for a Cradle Shock. Kiyoshi countered. Sabin rebels with a spike DDT. Only two. Match progresses, Kiyoshi goes up to the top for a moonsault, Sabin moves outta the way and Kiyoshi taste only mat. Shades of last week, kick to the back of head by Sabin. Cradle Shock. Pinfall! Sabin advances…
In a backstage interview, JB (I know the interviewer’s name this time. ha ha). Anyways, JB brought up again how if Shelley beats Eric Young, it will be Sabin verus Shelley in the finals. Shelley told JB that they have prepared for that, and Shelley then started to poke fun at his next oppoent Eric Young. Eric Young, who must have overheard… interrupted Shelley. Eric Young picked a fight with Shelley by slapping him across the face. Chris Sabin jumped on Eric Young. TNA security had to break up the fight. Alex Shelley and Eric Young then brought the ring.
Both men, who weren’t even in ring gear, had their match right then. Jay Lethal and Creed held back Sabin from getting involved in the match. The match took place, and eventually Chris Sabin must have gotten lose, because Sabin pulled Shelley outta the ring. Eric Young then dived outta the ring to hit both Guns. This turned into a moss pit outside the ring. Everyone was trying to pull Young off Shelley and trying to stop Sabin from hitting Eric. Eventually they were seperated.
