This week catch up with MCMGs (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) and get their thoughts on their video games and cars.

Chris Sabin

One evening last week I was sitting around in my basement thinking about video games as I played a video game (Magic the Gathering on XBL) and the thought of my original Nintendo Entertainment System popped into my head. What happened to it, what games do I still posses, and where can I find it if it is indeed available? The thought of the NES
possessed me to start my own quest to find my old system and see if I can get it working.

Well, it wasn’t much of a quest, but I found the stained, sticky, soda covered NES in my brother’s closet, and along with it inside the box were more games than I remembered ever owning! The box glowed with the aura of holiness, and I heard a faint “Ahhhhh” as I laid eyes on my new find. Everything needed was inside the corrugated treasure chest, including two controllers and the following NES games – Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, Excitebike, Rad Racer, NARC, Ice Hockey, Kings Knight, Spy vs Spy, Wrestlemania Challenge, Final Fantasy, Kung Fu, Fester’s Quest, The Adventures of Link, Tetris, Star Force, Pinball Quest, River City Ransom, W&W 2, Wrestlemania, Tecmo Super Bowl, Star Tropics, Mario/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet, Othello, Super Team Games, Super Dodge Ball, Crystalis, Skate or Die, and lastly, one of my favorite all time games, Dragon Warrior. Desmond Wolfe and Magnus, otherwise known as London Brawling, are in the ring with Chelsea saying that they’re going to beat the Motor City Machine Guns at No Surrender. Magnus says the fans are obviously embarrassed to have the MCMGs as their champions, but fear not, because they’re here to save the day. Those belts are coming off the boys and coming to the real men. So says the guy with the tight shirt and beret. The MCMG come out and go face to face with London Brawling as the fans start a USA chant. Shelley says if they think the MCMG killed themselves in five matches with Beer Money just to lose the belts to them at No Surrender, they’re not thinking hard enough because they’re the best tag team in the world and if they don’t believe that, they can just ask the fans. Crowd pops for that one. Sabin says they may be the #1 contenders, but the MCMG haven’t seen them beat anybody, and from the look of things, the only tag teaming they’ve been doing lately is with each other. Desmond asks the MCMG if they think they’re a couple of poofs, and then says he hates to break up their comedy routine, but London Brawling are the only ones in the ring with a bird, then Magnus says instead of making jokes, they ought to grow some more hair on their nuts. Shelley responds by saying that if they’re such men, why does Chelsea always have such a lousy look on her face? Shelley then offers her $10 for a go round, and then Sabin says to stop torturing Chelsea because she needs to make a living just like any call girl. Desmond then tells Chelsea to tell them how he’s the biggest guy on this side of the pond, and Chelsea says that if this were a sword fight, his weapon would fall just a little bit short. London Brawling all start arguing with each other, then turn around and start laying out the MCMG. They toss Sabin to the outside and then double team Shelley, just not in the way the MCMG suggest they double team people.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) retained their TNA Tag Team Championship titles in their best of five series with Beer Money and now they get some time for fun.

Chris Sabin

Well, sitting back and reflecting on the past couple months for The Motor City Machine Guns, and they have been unreal. Winning the TNA tag team championship belts, and then going into what I can say was the most fun and rewarding time in my career, the best of five series against Beer Money. Robert Roode and James Storm are two talented, tough wrestlers and sometime down the line, I hope our paths cross once again.

Looking toward the months ahead, they will be filled with more challenges and pressure. We have what other tag teams such as Generation Me, London Brawling, and Ink Inc want and will fight for. But Alex and I strive on testing ourselves, and we are ready.

But for now, a small break, and a time to heal my body. For the rest of this week I will be taking Aleve every 12 hours and relaxing in the sun as much as possible.

Probably throw some MTG on Xbox Live in there, a little Monday Night Combat too. Netflix is always a hit too.

And to whoever pulled the fire alarm in the hotel I was sleeping in this morning, you deserve to be woken up the exact same way – blinded by super bright strobe lights as your eyes are first opening after a long nights sleep while at the same time confused to why an alarm is sounding off at the same time that has the volume turned up to 28476.

Backstage, the Motor City Machine Guns show off the copy of Rock Band that they got for free, then talk about their match tonight with Generation Me and other teams breathing down their necks and trying to follow in their footsteps. They’re going to relax a bit, and then go out for their match…next!

TNA World Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns vs Generation Me

This ought to be good. Jeremy and Sabin start and Jeremy gets a quick rollup right off the bat but only gets 1. Sabin fires Jeremy into the ropes and takes him down with a shoulderblock. Jeremy responds with a drop toehold and la magistral cradle for 2. Sabin sends Jeremy into the ropes but Jeremy made a blind tag and Gen Me with a double hiptoss and double dropkick for 2. Sabin and Max reverse waistlocks and Sabin gets a blind tag and the MCMG hit a series of double team moves on Max. Shelley with a kick to the ribs of Max and a big slam, then gets a half crab while stepping on Max’s face. The ref counts even though that isn’t technically illegal, so the MCMG with another double team and Sabin covers for 2. Sabin rams Max into Shelley’s boot, then tags Shelley in, and Shelley with a snapmare and kneedrop for 2, then keep going for the cover a couple more times but can’t get the fall, so instead he gets a three quarter nelson. Sabin tags in, but Max is able to fight his wa y clear and roll into his corner to make the hot tag to Jeremy, who comes in and cleans house on Sabin with dropkicks. Shelley kicks Jeremy from the outside, but Jeremy nails him and Jeremy with a springboard X-Factor for 2. Gen Me with an amazing assisted springboard moonsault onto the MCMG on the floor, and Max hits Sabin with a spear as he gets back in the ring and then Gen Me with a moonsault/splash combo on Sabin and they go for More Bang For Your Buck, but Sabin holds onto Jeremy and Max moonsaults onto him. Shelley with a double stomp on Jeremy, a lungblower on Max, and the Skull and Crossbones for the win.

Winners: Motor City Machine Guns

The two teams shake after the match and they all raise their hands in a nice show of sportsmanship.

Wolfe says while Beer Money and the Motor City Cap Guns have been killing each other, him and Magnus have been proving themselves on Xpolosions and will show at No Surrender. The Motor City Machine Guns’ music hits and they join Wolfe and Magnus in the ring. Aex Shelley asks the crowd if they think Magnus’ hat is stupid. Sabin says yes, they do like to dabble in some video games and yes, he does find Ms. Pac Man sexy you douche bags. Sabin says the only tag teaming they’ve been doing is with each other. Wolfe says he gets it, they’re calling they were supposed to be a couple of poofs yet they’re the ones with a girl. The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) bring us up to date on their recent camping trip and release of their new album.

Chris Sabin

Super Camping Part 2!!!!

Well, first off I must apologize for the somewhat misleading direction I sent the readers of this blog last week by emphasizing the bear turds that we slept around on night two. We settled down and camped, but there were no bear attacks even though we were all a little nervous. But hey, you’re reading part two aren’t you?

Day 3 – As the day began, we enjoyed some mini pancakes for breakfast (even with no butter or syrup they were some of the best I ever tasted) and packed up camp and we all sat down on a log bench and planned our next move. We were about 6 miles into the Hoh trail at this point, and we were contemplating hiking further in and spending the night in the Hoh again, and then hiking the entire distance back the next day. After some debate on what to do I suggested we just hike the 6 miles back and hit up one of the beaches on the coast and camp there for night 3. Everyone agreed and we were off on the 6 mile journey back to the vehicle at the trail head. Continue reading »
